What is available to me?
The Cheshire Change Hub has two services available to you if you are looking to lose weight.
If you have a BMI between 30 & 34.9 kg/m2 you can access our 12-week exercise safely programme.
If you have a BMI of 35 kg/m2 or more you are eligible for a weight management programme.
All of these services are completely free of charge!
Patients registered with Vale Royal CCG GP partnerships (Northwich and Winsford area) who have a BMI of 30 kg/m2+, please contact your GP in relation to an alternative service which is available in your area.

The NHS have a rather handy calculator that can do it for you on their website!
Can my carer come with me?
Yes! Your carer is more than welcome to come with you to help you during your time with us.
Can I bring my guide dog?
Yes, guide dogs are welcome.
Where will my sessions take place?
We have venues across West Cheshire and can find a location that is suitable for you to attend.
How many times can I use your service?
You are able to come and see us once in a 12 month period.
I have a BMI of 35 kg/m2 + are there any reasons why I might not be able to take part in the MoreLife programme?
There are certain circumstances or medical conditions which you may have, that make our programme unsuitable for you. They are as follows:
-Those under 16
– Active Bulimia
– Active psychosis
– Active substance use disorder (SUD) including alcohol
– Bariatric surgery in the last 12 months

Am i eligible for free support?
You may be eligible for free support if you answer yes to all of the following:
- Are you a resident or registered with a GP within Cheshire West & Chester?
- Aged over 16 years of age?
- Do you have a BMI of 30 or more?
If you answered no to any of the above, we’re sorry to say you aren’t eligible for free support. But don’t worry. You can still call us and we’ll point you in the direction of another service that may be able to help.
